Crockpot Steel Cut Oats

Crockpot Steel Cut Oats - or how I get to work on time.
I love hot cooked cereal for breakfast.  Hey I love cereal, period, any time of the day.  But I don't like making breakfast in the morning, even a cup of coffee is a chore.  So, we (the master cook) and I came up with this way of making sure I have my cereal.

Assemble ingredients --
Bob's Steel Cut Oats
Raisins
Walnuts, chopped
Cinnamon
Salt

Get the containers from the cereal drawer
the measuring cups and spoons
large bowls

Yes, those are recycled iced teas containers - they sure come in handy.

 Measure into each container
1/8 t. salt
2 t. cinncamon
1 T. chopped walnuts
2 T. raisins

Pour 1 cup of oats into container.
Cap it and viola - ready to be made into
hot cereal.

At night, add 3 cups of water to crock pot, one container of oats, stir well, set to WARM and that's it.

Here they are all filled and ready to go.  Enough to last almost 2 months.  One container makes 4 servings.  One for the master cook and one for the women who works, out of the house that is.
